Climate Change And Environment

Image
#Climate_change has created enormous amount of impacts on the earth especially in case of environment the issues arising are intense heat waves, ascending sea levels, variations in precipitation which gave way for flooding and droughts, extreme hurricanes and deteriorated air condition that has impact both directly and indirectly to the physical and physiological health. In order to reduce all this risks Mitigation and Adaptation is needed. #Environmental consequences is the most standout impact when compared to others.

CLIMATE MODELS

Image
#Climatic_models are the mathematical representation of the atmosphere, ocean, ice and vegetation. In case of human induced climate change, the climatic models are used to resolve and to find the amount of warming increased and attributed to study how climate will change in future. Climate models are used to simulate the past climate and involves the prediction of future climate based on the projection of Man- Made greenhouse gases. Researchers have developed climatic models based on a computer software in which the output archives were stored in a CMIP. On the other hand, the data of sea and ocean were stored in another archive called AMIP.

·Coupled Model Inter comparison Project The main Objective of CMIP is to better understand the past, present and future climate changes arising from Natural, unforced variability. ·Atmospheric Model Inter comparison Project It is an experimental protocol for global atmospheric general circulation models. This model configuration enables scientists to f…

ENSO

Image
ENSO- El-Nino Southern  Oscillation

An irregularly periodic variation in winds and sea surface temperatures over the Pacific ocean. The #Warming phase of the sea temperature is known as #El_Nina whilst the #Cooling phase is known as #La_Nina.

How does this ENSO related to Climate Change?

The occurrence of periodic variation surface temperature weakens the pacific which may result in Series results of Hurricanes. On the other hand these Oscillations may have greater impacts on the change in Weather and Climate Patterns.

To know more facts on the #phases and impacts of #ENSO on #Climate_Change meet us at #Rome for " World Congress on Climate Change" during October 15-16, 2018

Desertification And Drought

Image
#Desertification:  degradation of Dry land Ecosystem which occurs due to variation in climate and human activities. The occurrence can lead to high level of #water_scarcity. It occurs because of imbalance between the Human demands and the amount the ecosystem can supply.

Both Human- Being and Desertification is interlinked as the high level of degradation in dry lands can leads to Water scarcity which leads to the loss of vegetation and increase the large dust cloud formation which causes major Health Problems. Desertification is caused by a combination of social, political, economic, and natural factors which vary from region to region. Effective prevention of desertification requires management and policy approaches that promote sustainable resource use. Prevention should be preferred to rehabilitation, which is difficult and costly.
On the other hand, the effect of Global Climate change on Desertification is complex and difficult to understand. The increase in higher temperature i…

Oceans and Climate Change
